Sanet is a highly experienced Medical Science Research Executive with a PhD and has amassed a life time of academic, entrepreneurial and international executive experience.
She is known for her high energy, high impact and passionate way of leading teams.
She was the Founder of the first private Site Management Organisation in South Africa called CRC SA (Pty) Ltd, which was acquired in 2007 by Synexus, UK.
Prior to setting up two clinical trial businesses and a Property owning business in South Africa, she was Professor in Virology and Immunology and later Director for Research at the Medical University of Southern Africa where
she, amongst other activities, worked with several pharma companies to assist them in their research and development programmes.
As the Managing Director at Synexus South Africa up to September 2016, she has overseen the operations at 3 large dedicated research centres and several partner sites in South Africa.
This role included leadership for business development, patient recruitment, project management, clinical operations, quality, HR and finances.
Her experience spans over 200 clinical studies of early and late stage development in different therapeutic areas including vaccines, infectious diseases, respiratory and metabolic disorders.
Her Business Development experience include project feasibility, project costing, proposal writing for local and international customers and accessing international grant funding from Product Development Partners.
She has also been instrumental in a successful business acquisition.
Sanet has held Directorships in various companies and served on the Senior Management Board of Synexus Limited, UK. She has also served on the South African Medicines Control Council during 1999-2001.
Sanet is known for her strong vision, strategic direction, and ability to overcome challenges and to be customer focused.
As the founder of Ardent Consulting, she now consults to the life sciences, biologics, pharma and clinical research industry. She has published widely in peer review journals and continues to deliver papers at scientificmeetings.
